The "all your base" phenomenon began around the turn of the century when a Japanese video game was rushed into production for the U.S. market, and had obviously poor translation. There are similar examples such as the Star Wars movie "The Revenge of the Sith" which was translated into Chinese, then English subtitles taken from the Chinese were added afterward. The title became "The Backstroke of the West". "Jedi Counsel" becomes the "Presbyterian Church" (you can Google to see how that occurred).

I like these examples as they show in a humorous way what can happen if technology is misapplied.
YouTube is fun. An answer on Jeopardy said this website has the most transfer of data. The question was YouTube (not Goggle, etc.), because of the volume of video
